Finding the Perfect Tattoo Design for a Woman

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

Trying the find the perfect design for a woman can be quite difficult since a tattoo is permanent. Well, it could be removed, but why go through all that? It’s much more reasonable to choose the right tattoo design the first time.

The secret is to not rush into getting a tattoo until you become informed about everything: how a tattoo is going to get on your skin from start to finish; what are the costs for different tattoos; how to care for a tattoo and so on. It is important to make sure you know what you are about to do. The possibility of removing a tattoo is not something to count on- it costs a lot, hurts and takes time. Why bother?

The way to go, after you are 100% sure that you want a tattoo, is to find the information you need to proceed and if it satisfies you, then choose a design that would look beautiful on your skin and match your personality. What you need to remember is that you do not, and should not, settle for a random design. You are going to have the tattoo on your body forever and that is why it is so important not to follow trends or have one because somebody you look up to has it. Your tattoo should be an original design, unique to only you.

The days are gone when women had tattoos only in hidden places and had to cover them up. Now women are getting tattoos they can show off.

The Heart of Japanese Culture

Saturday, October 27th, 2007

Towards the end of World War II, Okinawa, Japan became the spot for one of the bloodiest battles in the world. While this is certainly not the only time that Okinawa has shown up in historic script, it was possibly the most destructive. Unlike many other regions of Japan, Okinawa holds it own history. During the 15th century, it was an independent kingdom, known as Ryukyu. After the Kagoshima invaded in 1609, Ryukyu came under the power of China and Satsuma. Ryukyu changed its name to Okinawa when Japan integrated the kingdom in 1879. Though there have always been struggles between Japan’s government and Okinawa itself, Okinawa has held on to the unique traditions from the Ryukyu kingdom. If you are looking for a place in Japan to visit, and to capture authentic Japan photos that outline the very heart and culture of this majestic country, then Okinawa is a wonderful place to start. There are many places of historical interest on Okinawa, as well as the naturally beautiful landscape, reefs, and sandy white beaches. The remnants of castles from the days of Ryukyu make a wonderful addition to your collection of Japan photos. There are around 500 years of historical structures and monuments from the Ryukyuan era to be seen and photographed. Or, if you have never traveled to Japan, this would be a wonderful place to begin your collection of Japan photos. Naminoue Shrine is located on the site of an old castle, and Sogenji Temple was used by ancient Ryukyu kings and can be seen and photographed today. The gate to the remains of Shuri Castle lies just on the outskirts of the city, and is a beautiful and cultural landmark.  Geographically speaking, Okinawa is actually a very small island, broken down into smaller islands, off the mainland of Japan. If you are planning a visit to Okinawa, the smaller islands included in the prefecture are a must to see.  Because much of the Japanese culture revolves around family and tradition, one of the most important events held in Japan is the Eisa, which marks the end of summer, held late in August. It is Japanese tradition during this festival to celebrate and to say goodbye to spirits of ancestors who came back to earth for Obon. Dancers for the Eisa festival come from all over Japan each year to Okinawa to celebrate and compete in the festival. This festival is a wonderful time to capture authentic Japanese photos that hold ages of tradition and culture.

Introduction To Grimoires

Friday, October 26th, 2007

Grimoires are textbooks devoted to the practice of the magical arts. These books were typically instruction manuals for invoking angels or demons, performing divination and gaining magical powers. Grimoires first appeared in the Middle Ages and owe their existence to earlier traditions, such as medieval Jewish mysticism. Magical writings of a similar nature have existed from antiquity, and although these do not fall within the medieval magical tradition, they are oftentimes also referred to as grimoires. Magicians were frequently prosecuted by the Christian church, so their journals were kept hidden to prevent them from being burned. Such books contain astrological correspondences, lists of angels and demons, directions on casting charms and spells, on mixing medicines, summoning unearthly entities, and making talismans. Grimoires often had their beginnings as journals kept by magicians to record their magical experiments and operations. These journals contained astrological correspondences, lists of angels, demons and other unearthly entities and how to summon them, recipes for medicines, and instructions on casting charms and spells and making talismans. Notable grimoires include “The Sworn Book of Honorius”, “Sefer Raziel HaMalakh”, “The Book of the Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage”, “The Key of Solomon”, “The Black Pullet” and “The Grand Grimoire”. Occult Underground has an excellent collection of free magical grimoires for students who are ready to explore the Magickal Path. Occult Underground also has other free occult ebooks covering an extensive range of subjects on the esoteric, magick and metaphysics.
